Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy
is more than just hypnosis. It is the
communication between client and therapist designed to achieve
specific outcomes. This interaction forms the basis for future
progress. Therefore hypnotherapy can be seen as a catalyst or an agent
of change. The experience is highly subjective as each person will
experience it differently. There are no miracle cures using
hypnotherapy, each person must take responsibility for their own
problems and be active in the resolution of them.
We are often asked if hypnosis
can be used to treat anything. Our response is that it can be used as
a tool in the treatment of any human condition in which a person’s
attitude is a factor. If there is involvement of a person’s mind in a
particular problem there is the potential for gain using
hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy can be used as
an adjunct to more traditional medicine, especially in the area of
pain control and the treatment of stress disorders.
Here at Calm Point we spend at
least half of the session in discussion with our clients. This
involves our clients in their own treatment by ensuring that they
have enough knowledge to make informed choices and be a part of a true
partnership. |
